By Car
From New York, I-95 North,
From Providence I-95 South
To exit 47 (Downtown New Haven & Route 34).
From Boston, Western Mass, Vermont:
I-91 South to exit 1 (Downtown New Haven & Route 34).
These highway exits become the Richard E. Lee connector; take exit 2 onto N. Frontage Rd. Take the first left at the lights onto College St. which merges into Congress Ave. Cedar Street is your first right once on Congress.
There is rarely parking along Cedar St. so your best bet is to park at one of the meters along Congress Ave and then walk up Cedar. Street parking is free after 7pm.
Harkness Hall is on your right on Cedar shortly before you reach York Street. When you see the first large grassy area on Cedar, follow the sidewalk that goes off to your right and on your left through the high glass windows you'll see people dancing.
Parking
Street parking, which can be difficult. There are usually parking spots on College St. if there are none on Cedar St., but it's worth checking Cedar St. first. There is also the Air Rights Garage, open 24 hours a day located between North and South Frontage roads, straddling York. St. The New Haven Parking Authority, (203)946-8936, can provide current rate information. You'll need to exit the garage to street level, cross South Frontage Rd. on York St., and then turn left onto Cedar Street. The first path on the left will lead to Harkness Hall.

Take exit 47 onto CT-34W/ Oak St Connector (Downtown New Haven & Route 34). Take exit 1 (Downtown / New Haven); Take slight right onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Turn right onto Church St; Turn left onto Crown St; Take the second left onto College St. The Coop High is the large organge building on the left.
From Hartford I-91 South
Go to the end of 91 and, keeping right at the fork, get of at exit 1 (Route 34 W and Oak St. Connector towards Downtown New Haven). Take the exit 1 toward Downtown New Haven. Take slight right onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Turn right onto Church St; Turn left onto Crown St; Take the second left onto College St. The Coop High is the large organge building on the left.
Parking
Street parking. There are usually parking spots near the New Haven Green (on College St. around Phelps gate), on lower Crown St. or College St. There is a public parking lot across from high school as well as Yale Parking lot 2 blocks away on Temple and Elm (across from Pratt Hall).

Parking
Find parking close to or between the 3rd (Chapel St) and 4th lights (Elm Street). No need to put money in the meter (free Sunday or after 7pm) GPSCY’s is on this block, walk to the back building on the alley on the left (left if following traffic).
If you should get lost, find the New Haven Green and park on the side with the oldest looking buildings, ask for York Street.

Or, turn left on Chapel, make a right onto Howe St., make a right onto Edgewood Ave., and then you've arrived at Park St. Turn right and park on either side. You'll walk through the path between Yale Caberet and AFAM to get to the AFAM entrance on the right.

I-91 South, take exit 3 for Trumbull St.
At the light at the end of the ramp turn left onto Orange St. Go two blocks and turn right onto Grove Street. Continue three blocks and turn left onto College St. After only one block turn left onto Wall Street. The Slifka Center is on your right. Upon entering the building, take the stairs to the left up one flight
Parking
Metered street parking is free in New Haven after 7pm. Also, Yale lot 51 is close by on Temple Street between Elm Street and Wall Street. It is a free public lot weekdays after 4:00pm and on weekends.
McDougal Center
320 York St., New Haven, CT
McDougal Center Room 119 is located within the Hall of Graduate Studies (HGS) at 320 York Street. The way to get in is as follows: When you reach 320 York street (located up the street past Blue State Coffee and Toads Place), you will face metal gates. Before entering these gates, turn to your right and go through the wooden doors there. If you keep walking down that hallway, you will reach Room 119.
